A Place Value Freebie with the Manic Monday Linky
Sundays sure are great . . . when Monday is the start of Spring Break! Although we don't get two weeks, I sure am thankful for this week off; hopefully it will be filled with a little R & R!
So onto the freebie. I'm linking up again this week with Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies.

My freebie this week is brand new, I just finished it this morning. Taking the idea from my Place Value Mystery Number Cards, I've created a Place Value Mystery Number "I Have . . . Who Has?" game.
This freebie contains 36 place value cards with 3-digit numbers and is perfecting for assessing students' oral comprehension of place value. Click the pictures to check the freebie out.
If you are in school tomorrow, and celebrating St. Patrick's Day
Let me know if you enjoy the freebie, and if you are on Spring Break this week, enjoy that

St. Patrick's Day Freebie!
Well, once again it's been a little while since my presence has graced this blog, but this time I come with gifts - a little St. Patrick's Day freebie to be exact! I'm also linking up with Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies, so make sure to head over there and see what other freebies are up for grabs.

This year, St. Patrick's Day is on Spring Break (which reminds me, one more week until Spring Break, wahoo!) so we will be celebrating in green this Friday. You might find this little freebie useful if you plan on doing any St. Patrick's Day reading or writing this week:
4 writing papers:
and nine vocabulary cards:
You can click any of the picture to check it out on TpT or {HERE} to download.
I also recently finished a new unit that I have been working on forever - Reading Comprehension Printables. These 20 printables work for any picture book and can be used repeatedly through the year to assess student comprehension and reading strategies.
Most of the printables come in three versions - unlined, primary-lined and regular-lined - and cover connecting, visualizing, predicting, re-telling, responding, inferring & more. Click the picture or {HERE} to check it out if you are interested!
What are your plans for St. Patrick's Day? More importantly, when is your Spring Break?

A ValenTIMES Freebie
I'm stopping in quick today to share a little Valentine's Day freebie I made, just in time for Manic Monday.

I know Valentine's Day is still a little bit away, but I guess you can never be too prepared (or too looking forward to the next holiday centred around chocolate!).
This freebie is a 36-card "I have . . . who has" game centred around two important math skills - basic multiplication and telling time. Just print, laminate and hand out one card to each student. Have students read their card out loud to find the next person in line, and so on. Continue until all students have had a chance to read their card (the last card directs back to the first player). Click {HERE} or the picture above to check it out.
Can you believe it is only Monday? I am already exhausted!
Go check out Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies for some more fantastic finds - I think I might need to take a nap!

25 Days of Christmas Picture Books - Day 3
Today is a busy day. It's Day 3 of my 25 Days of Christmas Picture Books, time for the Manic Monday link-up at Classroom Freebies and the start of the huge Cyber Monday & Tuesday Sale at Teachers Pay Teachers! Let's get started, shall we?
So for Day 3, I thought I'd talk about another new-ish book for me, though it is a few years old - Mooseltoe by Margie Palatini.

Moose is so busy getting ready for Christmas that he forgets something really important - the Christmas tree! He must come up with a creative solution and your students should enjoy reading as Moose's moustache become a decorated stand in for a tree.
I've made a freebie for Pre-K and Kindergarten students - "Christmas Tree Ornament Match-Up." Print and laminate the cards, then have students count the number of ornaments on each tree and match to the star with the correct number. Use as a fun holiday activity, or place in a math center.
Click {HERE} or the pictures to download the freebie.
I'm also linking up with Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies. Go check the other freebies available today!
Finally, don't forget about the TpT sale that is running today and tomorrow. Click on the above image to head to my store. If you shop, make sure to enter the promo code "CYBER" to get up to 28% off your purchase!

25 Days of Christmas Picture Books - Day 2
Here we are already for my 25 Days of Christmas Picture Books - Day 2! If you missed the first day, check out my Polar Express freebie {HERE}.
Today's book is Santa's New Suit by Laura Rader.
This is a cute story about good old Santa Claus, who becomes bored of his tired old red suit, and wants a new one.

Not only is it a cute story, but I found a fantastic freebie courtesy of Nicole Shelby.
Students will have fun designing a new suit for Santa and writing a letter to convince Mrs. Claus and Elvin the Elf to choose their suit.
If you read the book, enjoy the freebie and make sure to leave Nicole some feedback on her TpT page!

Manic Monday!
Well, I am not lucky enough to be on holiday this week and since I live in Canada and have already had Thanksgiving, I have no holiday time this week at all. Oh well, I'll just have to start my Christmas countdown early (and maybe enjoy some of the holiday sales online)!
I'm popping in quick to link up with Manic Monday (what an appropriate name!) at Classroom Freebies.

I know this is late to the game, but hopefully it can be of use to someone this year (or of course, plan ahead and safe it for next year!) - my newest freebie, "Thankful for Freebies!".
It's a teeny freebie, containing an "I am thankful for . . ." flapbook and writing page, Thankful ABC Order and "Color it, Count it & Graph it" sheet.
Click {HERE} or the picture above to check it out and let me know if you like it!
Make sure to check out Classroom Freebies for more fantastic freebies. If you are lucky enough to be on holiday this week - enjoy it before the craziness of December ensues!

Manic Monday with The Little Old Lady
Is it Sunday night already? That weekend sure flew past.
How was that for an intro sentence? I must be exhausted! I'm back to link up with Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies. I have a simple Halloween freebie to share. I used it last year and I might have to pull it out again this year.
Click {HERE} or the picture to check it out (I'm not sure why the picture looks gray, the freebie isn't though!). I used this with the story The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything. I read the story and had the kids retell by writing/drawing the order that the objects followed the lady.
If you don't have the book, there are various read alouds available on Youtube, including a song version.
In completely unrelated news, I'm still trucking along with my new Word Problem a Day series. I'm slightly ahead of the game as I just finished the Thanksgiving packet for 3rd grade. Click {HERE} or the picture to check it out.
Head on over to Classroom Freebies to see what other goodies are available and have a wonderful week!

Manic Monday - Halloween Style
Can I just start this by saying, how nice are Sundays when it's a long weekend? Much nicer than your average Sunday, that's for sure. Now that that is out of the way, onto business.
I think I have been talking about Halloween since September and I *may* have bought Halloween candy a few weeks ago, so it's no surprise that I'm back to join up the fantastic weekly link-up, Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies, with a newish Halloween freebie.
I blogged about my new freebie earlier this week, but I didn't have it finished in time to link-up last Monday, so here I am, a little bit closer to Halloween, so perfect time for a Halloween freebie.
My Spooktacular Solve It freebie contains 24 task cards, a student recording sheet and, of course, an answer key. For each task card, students must use their math skills to find the spooky number. Skills covered include: place value, ordering numbers, addition & subtraction of multi-digit numbers, and even & odd numbers. Click the picture or {HERE} to check it out and make sure to leave me a comment letting me know if your students enjoyed the activity!
